I currently work for an insurance agency and I sell homeowners insurance. I am considering getting a cell phone to answer calls after 5:00pm and on weekends. I am not sure how lucrative this would be. Do people primarily look for insurance during the week or do they seek convenience on nights and weekends?

Some experts say that insurance agents, brokers and small insurance companies may become victims of the massive health care overhaul set to kick in in 2014. The health care reform bill will impact nearly every corner of the health care industry which makes up one-sixth of the US economy. According to a report by Time Magazine, agents and brokers are concerned they’ll soon be viewed as redundant under the new legislation.
At a recent meeting of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, 25 commissioners passed a resolutions stating that health care reform should “recognize and protect the indispensable role that licensed insurance professionals play in serving consumers.” At issue is how insurance companies should now calculate their medical and administrative expenses. Motorists compare car insurance quotes on various websites to find a best deal. When it is the time to make a claim, they may experience a payout that is significantly lesser than what was expected. This can be very frustrating for the motorists because the promises made by the insurance company may not be kept at all.
It is important for the insurance customers to know that the companies are for- profit organizations and will make payments based on various terms such as book value, depreciation or replacement schedules. These terms may not even correlate with the practical world, just the accounting standards.

When it comes to your teenagers driving, you may wish to do all you can to try and help them drive as safely as possible and it is highly likely you may want to introduce them to the Pemco Student Drivers Program. We are planning to buy a home in north natomas sacramento area. We are just curious as to how much insurance might cost in this area including flood insurance considering it is in a flood zone. We are planning to spend approximatly $200,000.
