Benaissance has announced the COBRApoint and SPMpoint 4.0 release as a part of company’s flagship SaaS technology platforms to enhance communication and transparency for all stakeholders.

The new release features robust Broker Portal that equips insurance brokers, consultants, agents and navigators with an array of self-service tools, analytics and reports.

The Broker Portal combines existing client, client division, member and administrator portals empower the efficient and secure management of client and member populations within Benaissance SaaS platforms.

Help For Musicians Who Lack Health Insurance

Every year, New Orleans holds a huge jazz festival that goes on for more than a week. The musicians that come to preform at the festival will, at times, require health care. Many of them do not have health insurance. They go to the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic for the health care that they need.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is an annual festival that started in April of 1970. The first one had around 350 people attending. In 2001, attendance reached 650,000. The festival includes twelve different stages, all of which showcase a multitude of musicians, preforming at different days and times until the festival ends.

What Do Insurance Brokers Do?

Recently, my husband and I visited with an insurance broker. Our purpose for being there was to find an affordable health insurance plan for me. My insurance broker was extremely helpful! Before I visited with her, I didn’t know much about what insurance brokers do. Here is what I have learned.

I picked up this pamphlet that was created by the National Association of Health Underwriters, (NAHU). The NAHU is a group that represents more than 100,000 licensed health insurance agents, brokers, consultants, and benefit professionals, across the United States. One of NAHU’s primary goals is to do everything they can to promote access to affordable health insurance coverage.

Chimp Attack Victim Says Connecticut Governor Knew of Danger

A woman who was mauled and severely injured by an out-of-control chimpanzee and is now suing the state of Connecticut says Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, as then-mayor of Stamford, knew the animal was dangerous.

In an interview with The Hartford Courant, Charla Nash said the chimpanzee got loose and roamed Stamford in 2003. She says Malloy knew the chimps owner, Sandra Herold, and allowed her to take him home and warned that he should be locked up. She was attacked by the animal in February 2009.

I know he was the mayor when Travis was running loose that time in 2003. (Herold) knew him. And she said he allowed her to take Travis home and said (to) keep him locked up, she said.
